Turin was Italy’s first capital after the unification and one of the most influential cities during the Risorgimento period. It is also the place where FIAT (today FCA) started its business and where several gastronomic events are held each year. Turin is a fantastic mix of art, culture, industry, and gastronomy. In fact, UNESCO declared part of the historical city center a Word Heritage Site in 1997. During the leisurely 3 HOURS' WALKING TOUR, you will discover part of this heritage: the majestic castle Piazza Castello, the Royale Palace, Piazza San Carlo and the ancient cafeterias, Via Po, and Piazza Vittorio. Lunch will be on your own. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner will be on your own. OVERNIGHT STAY IN TURIN AT 4- STAR HOTEL ACCOMMODATION, DOUBLE ROOM (DOUBLE OCCUPANCY) WITH BED AND BREAKFAST SERVICE.

DAY 3 - Leisure day in Courmayeur

ENJOY BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL. After breakfast, you will be transferred to COURMAYEUR (transfer time: approx. 2h). “The nature here is gentle, expressive, majestic, whimsical, wild, fascinating, and it seems to call out and say: stay!”. This is how Auguste Argentier described Courmayeur in 1864, using words that do true justice to the timeless charm radiated from this small town at the foothills of Mont Blanc. An important ski tourism draw the world over, Courmayeur, in Valle d'Aosta, is known for both its beauty and hospitality. This ancient village weaves that authentic Alpine atmosphere into its entire being: the visitor can feel it whether walking through its main streets – such as the central Via Roma – or getting lost in its most hidden corners. Courmayeur stands at the 4,016 feet- marker of Mont Blanc, within a verdant basin surrounded by firs, spruces and larches, and of course mountain peaks, glaciers and other gorgeous and traditional towns along the Dora Baltea River that traverses the entirety of Valle d’Aosta! Spend your morning walking through its main street and doing shopping! Lunch will on your own. IN the afternoon, you can decide if spending the afternoon in town or spending 1h and 30 min. in Aosta, historical Roman city located 40 minutes from Courmayeur. After your arrival in Milan, you will reach the city center on your own (we recommend to take a taxi). Enjoy your time in Milan, Lombard capital that stupefies for the emotions only it can offer, is a culture, modern, and lively city that is rich in beauty and artistic masterpieces. The Duomo, or Cathedral, with its luminous, marble (from Candoglia) façade and late-Gothic architectonic style, is the monumental symbol for this metropolis in Northern Italy! In the heart of the city rises the Palazzo Reale, seat of the Communal Government of Milan, and the historic halls of which host frequent and important art exhibits. Next to the Palazzo is the uber-modern Museum of the 20th Century, boasting a number of artworks from the 1900s only. And nearby is another of the city’s well- known icons, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, fundamentally a pedestrian street intersection covered by glass-vaulted arcades. Inside are historic restaurants, bars and fashion boutiques, as well as its lovely mosaic flooring! Furthermore, Milan is recognized internationally as one of the world’s most important Fashion Capitals! Every day thousands of people walk through its most elegant street, "Via Montenapoleone", where the most sophisticated, (and expensive) fashion shops of Armani, Gucci, Versace and other famous Italian fashion designers are located. Mainly Via Montenapoleone but also the adjacent streets are the heart of the Italian Fashion. The boutiques of Prada, Armani, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Laura Biagiotti, Fendi, Renato Balestra, Rocco Barocco, Genny, Krizia, Gucci, Missoni, Trussardi, Moschino, Mila Schön, Fiorucci and many other top fashion brands are all lined up in this area. Lunch will be on your own. In late afternoon, you will reach Milan train station (we recommend to catch a taxi) and catch the high-speed train to Turin. Dinner will be on your own. DAY 6 - Verona 2,5 hours' walking tour with private guide

ENJOY BREAKFAST AT THE HOTEL. After breakfast, you will be met by our expert guide and together you will explore the beauties of the City of Lovers, without forgetting Shakespeare .... The tragic story of Romeo and Juliet is a legend, nobody can tell if the two unlucky lovers of Verona ever lived. Nevertheless, like in every legend, there are many elements of the story that have references to real places and historical facts of Verona. For example it is history the bloody struggle between Guelphs and Ghibellines, the pope party and the emperor party, the two factions fighting, not over religion but over secular power. In the middle age, families belonging to one faction or the other, although living in the same town, feuded ferociously. The Montecchi family (Montague in the English version) really existed in Verona, and lived in that sort of middle age fortress which is now considered Romeo's house. The high walls of the building are characterized by the peculiar "swallow tail" battlement symbol of the emperor party. Dante, who belonged to Ghibelline faction, fleeing from Florence, a Guelph town, found hospitality in Verona at the time in which the events are thought to have happened, under the rule Bartolomeo della Scala lord of Verona. In the Purgatorio, Dante wrote few mysterious verses about the two families Montecchi and Capuleti (Montagues and Capulets). Shakespeare wasn't the first to write about the sad story, he based his tragedy on some Italian versions (especially those by Luigi da Porto and Matteo Bandello) quite popular in Italy and Europe at that time and that were probably based on some kind of oral tradition. In all these versions can be found references to historical facts and characters, places and buildings so that through the centuries, tradition has identified some city buildings with the places where the story took place: Juliet's house (with Capulets family crest), Romeo's house, the 13th century gate through which Romeo left Verona in exile, Juliet's tomb, in the only existing monastery outside city walls at that time. Lunch will be on your own. Leisure time in the afternoon. OVERNIGHT STAY IN VERONA AT STUDIO-SUITE (DOUBLE OCCUPANCY) WITH ONLY BED SERVICE.
