DAY 1 Pick-up at Catania Airport and drop-off to the accommodation (private transfer)

BENVENUTO, WELCOME TO SICILY! After your arrival at Catania Airport, our driver will welcome you and transfer you to the accommodation located in Catania city center (transfer time: approx. 30 min.). CHECK IN at the accommodation and enjoy some time for relaxation after your long journey to Sicily. DAY 2 Catania half-day tour and Taormina

ENJOY BREAKFAST AT YOUR ACCOMMODATION. After breakfast, you will be transferred to CATANIA (transfer time: approx. 1h), where you will be met by our expert guide who will lead you through the beauties and the tastes of the city: at first you will visit the CATHEDRAL OF CATANIA and the CHAPEL OF SANT’AGATA. Then, we will visit the atrium of the Catania Town Hall with the SENATE CARRIAGES and the CATANIA FISH MARKET (known as Pescheria in Italian) for the tasting of local products (tasting of local products: approx. € 12-15 per person)! We will then proceed to CASTEL URSINO (external visit) and PIAZZA DUOMO. Lunch will be on your own. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to TAORMINA (transfer time: approx. 1h). As soon as you arrive in Taormina, you will feel the magical, mythical atmosphere permeating the surroundings and enchanting visitors. Settled on a hill of the Monte Tauro, Taormina dominates two grand, sweeping bays below. On the southern side, the top of Europe’s highest active volcano, Mount Etna, sits capped with snow and offering visitors a breathtaking, dramatic, and memorable view over almost one hundred miles of the Mediterranean Sea. Spend your leisure time in Taormina and do not forget to visit the GREEK THEATRE (entrance fee included in the quote)! In late afternoon, you will be transferred back to your accommodation. DAY 3 Etna experience: Mount Etna and wine tour

ENJOY BREAKFAST AT YOUR ACCOMMODATION. After breakfast, we will pick you up at your accommodation with one of our OFF-ROAD VEHICLES and heading in the direction of the volcano. We are passing idyllic Sicilian villages and some of Sicily’s most famous wine-growing regions and whilst gaining altitude, you will learn a lot about the country, the population and their culture. You will certainly remember the impressive play of colours of the black lava and the extraordinary vegetation on MOUNT ETNA. As we pass by the lava flows of recent years, we will see centuries-old forests and we will stop at some of the most beautiful places on Mount Etna. During an EASY HIKE OF APPROX. 45 MIN. on the craters in the surrounding, you will see the unique landscape with the old and new lava. Of course, a competent English-speaking guide will accompany you during this guided trip on Mount Etna and you will learn a lot about the history of the volcano with its myths and the current situation there. You will continue the adventurous jeep tour on an off-road track through the pine forests and you will get further insight into the unique and diverse flora and fauna which inhabits the lava rocks. Like the SPELEOLOGISTS, you will be equipped WITH HELMETS AND FLASHLIGHTS TO EXPLORE ONE OF THE FAMOUS LAVA CAVES on foot with your guide. These caves were created by a lava flow and they still have special properties. Centuries ago, residents close to Mount Etna used these caves for the ice production. As one of the last stops of the Jeep part we will drive to the hardened lava flows, which destroyed the local ski lift during the last big eruption. Thereafter we are driving to the SICILIAN “CANTINA”, surrounded by vineyards with a stunning view. You will visit the production sites and you will learn a lot about the local wine production and the importance of Mount Etna in this context. Immerse yourself in the Sicilian culture, by tasting the Etna DOC wines, which have a special aroma due to the unique local conditions and the fertile soil on Mount Etna. After the tasting of other Sicilian specialties, LUNCH will be served. The menu consists of a selection of typical antipasti, a first course , seasonal fresh vegetables, Sicilian sweets, fruit, espresso and a selected wine. Well rested and after all these unforgettable impressions we will return to your accommodation. DAY 4 The majestic Villa Romana del Casale and Aidone "the balcony of Sicily"

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the VILLA ROMANA DEL CASALE in Piazza Armerina, considered to be one of the most important exemplars of an official governmental residence, attributed to the elaboration and exceptional beauty of its architectonic and decorative elements. Here you will be met. By our expert guide who will take to discover this authentic works of art in central Sicily. This majestic Imperial villa, standing tall in the Province of Enna (perhaps the most "Roman" of places on the Island), is a magnificent rural abode, fascinating, above all, for its captivating MOSAICS, considered the most beautiful and best-preserved of their kind. The fruits of meticulous labor, these precise yet moving images make for a significant adornment to what remains of this extravagant residence – made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. After the tour, you will be transferred to AIDONE for lunch. Lunch will be on your own. Aidone is called “the Balcony of Sicily”, because it is possible to admire the Mount Etna, the Nebrodi mountains, the Jonian Sea, Siracusa and the Catania plain. Here we will visit the ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM, which is hosted in the convent of the Capuchins. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your accommodation. DAY 5 Transfer to the Madonie Valley (private transfer)

In the afternoon, you will be met by our expert driver and transferred to your next accommodation located near the MADONIE VALLEY (transfer time: approx. 2h). DAY 6 The MAdonie Valley and its villages

ENJOY BREAKFAST AT YOUR ACCOMMODATION. After breakfast you will meet by our expert driver and guide and will discover the VILLAGES OF THE MADONIE VALLEY. “A land in between”. These are the Madonie mountains, on the border between three provinces that share traditions, art, and a culture of food and wine. At first will visit the TWO PETRALIA TOWNS, SOTTANA and SOPRANA, which are really unique! Narrow alleys, porches, stairways and cobbled streets welcome the visitors. Churches, palaces and monuments preserve in their interior precious treasures of art. A mix of art, culture, landscapes and views make these two villages must-see places in Sicily! Lunch will be on your own. In the afternoon, we will visit GANGI, on of the most picturesque little villages in Sicily! t is a little gem, rich of history and traditions, that has its origins in the mythical city of Engyon, which, according to the legend, was founded by the Cretans near the homonymous water source. Here we will visit the historic village and two of the main palaces: the SGADARI PALACE (entrance fee: € 3,00 per person) and the BONGIORNO PALACE. DAY 7 Detox yourself: walk and yoga (small-group activities

ENJOY BREAKFAST AT YOUR ACCOMMODATION. In the morning, you will meet our guide who will take you to EXPLORE THE MASSERIA’S AREA DISCOVERING THE VEGETATION AND THE PATHS. The spring and autumn period will start after breakfast leaving for a walk along the valley. The guide will enrich you with some historical information regarding the area. During summer you will go up in the mountains with a pick up to enjoy the early hours of the day! After the excursion, you will have leisure time at the Masseria. Lunch will be on your own. In late afternoon, you will participate to a 30-40 MINUTES YOGA SESSION. Our yoga teacher will wait for you in one of our garden area to experience this treatment. After the yoga session, you will join a relaxing herbal tea continuing the meditation.
